Manitoba Posted 29 March , 2006 Share Posted 29 March , 2006 Can anyone help me with this problem? Trying to find more about the early service record of 2/Lt Thomas Earle Gordon Scaife MC RFC. Attended Royal Military College in May 1915. May have served previously in the 17th Mounted Rifles UDF. Gazetted to the 6th Dn Gds (Carabiniers) on 15th Sept. 1915. Transferred to RFC as observer, December 1915. Killed in action 15th September, 1916. Was the 17th was a South African unit, and if so can anyone confirm Scaife's service with that unit - presumably as an OR? Manitoba Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
