I would be very grateful for any help with the translating this badge record.

He joined as a Boy 2nd Class in 1886, Signed on for 12 years in 1888 and transferred to the

Coast Guard in May 1900.

I've tried opening it too, thought it was my blisteringly fast machine being too efficient and opened and closed it before i saw a thing.

he had 3 good conduct badges and was a seaman gunner 1st class.

He received extra pay for each badge.

If he got a long service good conduct medal, he would have 'traced med' or medal on his papers.
