findabetterole Posted 8 January , 2007 Share Posted 8 January , 2007 Gareth, If you have a bayonet from WW.1 that looks like your US Winchester P1917, but it has (on the left ricasso) a stamping of a 'V' within a 'C' which is above the wording 'Vickers'..... I'm very envious. Why?.... you've got your hands on a valuable trails bayonet masde before US Remington and Winchester went into production with their P1917s. Look after it... Well done.
