Bantamenace Posted 28 March , 2006 Share Posted 28 March , 2006 Hi Ady My great grandfather served in the 16th West Yorkshire Regiment (1st bradford pals) and was also transferred to the Labour Corps. I am trying to research more about the Labour Corps and have found this site which may be of some use to you. Good luck www.geocities.com/labour_corps/
alan jones Posted 28 March , 2006 Share Posted 28 March , 2006 Hello Ady, I should e-mail Ivor Lee who has vast knowledge of anything connected with Labour Corps. I found him very useful. His e-mail address is <labourcorps@btinternet.com> regards, Alan
charlesmessenger Posted 28 March , 2006 Share Posted 28 March , 2006 The Labour Corps initially wore the General Service Corps badge. This was replaced in autumn 1918 by its own badge - a rifle, pick and shovel bound together within a laurel leaf with the motto Labor Omnia Vincit.
