Guest Daznjen Posted 25 March , 2006 Share Posted 25 March , 2006 I am totaly new to this area, so forgive me if this is obvious! The atached card shows an entry in the "remarks" section which I dont understand It apears to say "d.2. 26/2/19." I gather the latter part is the date, but what is the "d.2"? this may also be cl not d, and the 2 maz be a Z I know that my grandfather(to who'm this relates) served in the South Wales Borderers, was a POW in Bulgarier and escaped 3 times(twice re-captured I belive). He returned home criticly ill with malaria, was given 6 months to live by the doctors( lasted another 70 years!!!) and then tryed for desertion. Am planing to visit Kew soon and any info I can gather in advance will help. Thanks Daz

Guest Daznjen Posted 26 March , 2006 Share Posted 26 March , 2006 Thanks for that Joseph. Find it a little odd that he was kept on as a reservist if he was so ill. Perhapse a little family exageration!
