michaelwarlow Posted 22 March , 2006 Share Posted 22 March , 2006 Helo, I posted a medal card on here a while back with some remarks on that people were unsure of. I have now been to the NA and got a copy of the medal role, the remarks are clearer and longer on here, anyone any ideas what it all means? Thanks Mike
Ken Lees Posted 22 March , 2006 Share Posted 22 March , 2006 It says Retd. para992 K.R.... which, I think, means that the medals were issued and subsequently returned. The reason they were returned will be explained by the contents of Paragraph 992 of the King's Regulations. The last number suggests that the date of return was 17/03/1924. If you are lucky, someone here will be able to tell you what Paragraph 992 was about.
