hello , i'm trying to research my grandfathers war record i know he was in the royal field artillery, and his regimental no. was 183998 found on his medal card mum says he was at " wipers" but thats about all i know if any-one could help me with finding out more about him he was such a dear gentle man! name Arthur John Hills, from horsham sussex many thanks in anticipation!!! sandra baldwinsan

You can download his MIC here but it probably will not tell you more than you already know:

You may need to visit the National Archive, Kew (or find somebody who wil look for you) to find if his service records still survive

There are other RFA experts who may be able to tell you more.
