Remembered Today:

Sjt. A G Hart MM 6th London Posted 9th Battalion

On Young Albert's birth cert his father is listed as Occupation 3rd/6th London Regiment 7th December 1916 and on one of his Medal Cards he is listedas 2nd/9th London Regiment Sjt 322532 and also Kings Royal Rifle Corps 52297.

I also saw another card at young Albert's which said 1918/1919 A.Coy., Queen Victoria's Rifles BEF

Any idea's why he would have two numbers

Hi Rod

There is also the possibility that he was wounded and returned to another battalion. My Grandfather's MIC has four different service numbers on as he was supposedly wounded three times before being discharged in 1919 as being unfit.
