stiletto_33853 Posted 14 March , 2006 Share Posted 14 March , 2006 In WO363 I came across a soldiers record that I was looking for, the only trouble was that it contained his Territorial Record of his previous serivice in this Battalion up to 1912 when he was discharged on termination of engagement, para 156 (1) T.F. HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 14 March , 2006 Share Posted 14 March , 2006 1/1st Bn;The Brecknockshire Bn;TF South Wales Borderers a purely TF Unit[raised 3 Battalions in WW1; 1/1st:~1914 Brecon;South Wales Brigade. 29.10.1914 sailed from Southampton with Home Counties Divn. Bombay:3.12.14,transhipped & sailed for Aden,arriving 16th December 14. Returned to India August 1915.{Bombay August 11th} remained in India throughout the War. stiletto_33853 Posted 14 March , 2006 Author Share Posted 14 March , 2006 Many thanks Dave and Harry, This gentleman enlisted on 29/1/09 and spent his annual training camps at 1909 24/7/09 to 31/0/09 Porthcawl 1910 24/7/10 to 31/7/10 Aberystwyth 1911 29/7/11 to 5/8/11 Haverfardwest 1912 27/7/12 to 3/8/12 Hereford His Termination of Engagement came on 28/1/13 Just trying to put all the pieces together that I have on this gentleman, he served in the Rifle Brigade in WW1.
