Owen D Posted 11 March , 2006 Share Posted 11 March , 2006 Oh joy I'm back in the early 1980s with my favourite comic strip ever the Battle's Charley's War. http://charleyswar.tripod.com/index.html I will always be in awe on Joe Colquhoun's art work . If you don't know what I'm on about have a browse.

Mark Crame Posted 22 May , 2006 Share Posted 22 May , 2006 Don't go there. I have two boxes FULL of Battle comics (inc. loads of Charleys War) that I bought over the space of a few weeks after regressing to childhood a couple of years ago. And the huge collection of Hornby. And this week it's balsa/tissue aircraft.....

barrynee Posted 23 June , 2006 Share Posted 23 June , 2006 A great trip down memory lane - thanks for posting. I always remember a story about a classical pianist who lost his fingers to a grenade and then saved his platoon by suicidally silencing a machine gun nest. The roots of many a forum member's interest in the Great War will lie partially in those pages.
Derek Robertson Posted 23 June , 2006 Share Posted 23 June , 2006 The roots of many a forum member's interest in the Great War will lie partially in those pages. I think I owe most of my interest in the Great War to Charley.
