Anyone know if there's a regimental map of Britain on-line? Something that shows a regimants catchment area for recruitment - about WW1 era?

Cheers,

Duncan.

I seem to recall seeing one in the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth in one of the display cases in the WW1 Hall. I don't know if it's available commercially.

Hi

Most Regt's would be with the county thay come from "eg The Manchester Regt " from Manchester Lancashire, The Kings Liverpool Regt, Liverpool, the London Regt, or is it the Battn's you are after. Cheers Roy

Surely of limited use - and impossible to produce - for WWI itself; as discussed in other threads, regiments' links to localities soon became very tenuous in the war itself. Might be interesting for the prewar period.

There is one on the MOD website for the Modern British Army.

Not much help Re: WW1 though.
