Duncan Posted 10 March , 2006 Share Posted 10 March , 2006 Anyone know if there's a regimental map of Britain on-line? Something that shows a regimants catchment area for recruitment - about WW1 era? Cheers, Duncan.
ChrisC Posted 10 March , 2006 Share Posted 10 March , 2006 I seem to recall seeing one in the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth in one of the display cases in the WW1 Hall. I don't know if it's available commercially. Chris C

Something that shows a regimants catchment area for recruitment - about WW1 era? Cheers, Duncan. Surely of limited use - and impossible to produce - for WWI itself; as discussed in other threads, regiments' links to localities soon became very tenuous in the war itself. Might be interesting for the prewar period. Moonraker
