philg Posted 9 March , 2006 Share Posted 9 March , 2006 I would appreciate any help in reading this medal card before I go and order the medal rolls from NA. I can't quite make out the Roll number for the Victory or British medal, the page number seems to be 8379. And the SWB seems to be 0/3691/1 does that sound right? ta very much Phil
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 9 March , 2006 Share Posted 9 March , 2006 SWB List is "D" I think not "O" An idea to take a photocopy of it with you in case you get stuck!
Chris_Baker Posted 9 March , 2006 Share Posted 9 March , 2006 I think it is an "O"! And the roll would be O/1/105B36, page 8379.

Being an anorak, do you have a list tucked away somewhere of the various medal roll codes for the different regiments? Paul
philg Posted 10 March , 2006 Author Share Posted 10 March , 2006 actually whilst we're talking about this card, could I ask your opinions on a couple of other things: 1. Why does the discharge date say 25/3/12? Typo?? 2. Can anyone understand the text in the Cause of Discharge box? cheers Phil
