can any one tell what 44 bde RFA means under the heading corps, also under where it says he has medals is written frans 8 7/00 or 7/66. think i can :rolleyes: understand the rest after reading all the threads. thank you all.

44th Brigade Royal Field Artillery,which formed part of a Brigade's Artillery strength{within a Division~see Long Long trail for in depth explanation of the rudiments of these}

The numbers & letters are the Medal Roll page codes;these Roll pages can be accessed @ the National Archive & basically are the list of Men entitled to & awarded the Medals the card refers to,they do sometimes have a little extra information but not much.

:) thanks for the info. sorry not replied sooner its just took me three hours to find this page. so seems i got a lot to learn. most prob will take me a week to find out what or where the long long trail is. as know nothing. sorry. but all infomation is helpful and exciting. thank you for your help. right now. how do i send this?
