Deciphering a Medal Code

Can somebody help me to interpret the details I have on a medal card, which are:

Name: Samuel H. Sturgis

Corp: Somerset Light Infantry

Rank: Private

Reg. No: 39064

Victory Medal: Roll C2/102 B17, Page 2156

British Medal: ditto the above

In essence, I'm not sure what the medal roll codes refer to and hope they might provide with some additional information about Samuel.

These refer to the Actual Medal roll pages which are also held @ the NA{not online though}

They may contain a little extra information such as Battalion number{s} etc;
