Tony Lund Posted 1 March , 2006 Share Posted 1 March , 2006 The Holmfirth Express reported on 14th July 1917 that the Holmfirth relatives of Wilfred Moorhouse, who used to live at Cinderhills, Holmfirth, have been informed he has died of wounds in France. Before the war he was a potato dealer at Liverpool. My best guess so far from the CWGC, is that he was this man: W Moorhouse, Private 307874, 1st 8th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers who died on 03/07/1917. I am looking for birth, residence and enlistment. Many thanks, Tony.
