Hello everybody.

I am looking for a C. Grist from Sheffield, with links to Loxley. I think his first name is Charles and I Believe there are 3 possibles

1. Charles Grist, Private, Lancashire Fusiliers, 18th Bn. Service No: 16297

2. Charles Grist, Private, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own), 16th Bn. Service No: 16201

3. Charles Herbert Grist, Lance Corporal, Royal Berkshire Regiment, 5th Bn. Service No: 19670

I think the man I'm after is number 2, but need confirmation if possible. Could somebody do me a SDGW lookup.

Thanks in advance

Robert.

Your man would be:

2. Charles Grist, Private, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own), 16th Bn. Service No: 16201

SDGW adds:

Enlisted & residence = Sheffield (the other 3 have no connection at all - 2 from Hampshire, 1 Surrey)

Place of birth - not given

Cause of death = Died

Notes = formerly 15190 E. Yorks
