I wonder if anyone can help me track down specific Battalions that my (G)Uncle may have been in. He was Pte Wilfred Hart Roberts, born in Hartlepool. The medal index shows him as East Yorkshire Regiment, No.41426 and under that, Northumberland Fusiliers No.65069.

He was taken prisoner during the great war, but I don't know when. He did survive the war.

I will visit Kew as soon as I can, but I couldnt find him when I looked once before in the service records.

Any tips gratefully received!
