Following up on an earlier topic regarding German naval bombardment,

can anyone help with any info. on the following U Boat raids.

1. The identity of the U Boat that shelled Scarborough on the

4th. September 1917.

2. I have three dates when U Boats shelled coastal towns :

10.12. 1914 DOVER

23.02. 1915 FOLKESTONE

15.02. 1918 DOVER

Can anyone indentify the U Boats involved or give any other ifo. ?

Cheers,

Alan.

If I Remember Correctly... visiting Pendennis castle in the summer there was a story about a U-boat sighted nearby, shot at and claimed as sunk, that then went on to shell Barrow-In-Furness shipyards. If your interest is WWI subs, there are others who share this hobby at http://www.divernet.com/wrecks/0403qanda.htm
