g.g uncle

hello all

can anyone give me information on these regiment as my g.g uncle william bonner was in them

1st battalion 2nd

queens royal regiment

aldershot,hampshire,england,on the 1881 cenus

and then later

queens royal west surrey regiment

stoughton barracks

guilford,surrey

were this regiment joined together,i know he was in the queens royal but it was someone else who said he was in queens royal west surrey regiment,can anyone help with this i also think he was long term in the army as in 1891 he was still in the army.thank you for any help anyone can give,joyce from holland
