Hi

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the gazette entry for 2nd Lt C A Smith Leicester Reg.KIA 18/9/18.

He won a DCM i think as a CSM with The Northumberland Fusiliers. Can anyone give me any background as to which Btn he served before his comission.

Thanks

Ady.

Ady, here is his citation..

John.

3/9347 C.S.M. C. A. Smith, North'd Fus.

For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to

duty in carrying on with his work after being

severely wounded in the head. He passed

several times through heavy hostile barrage

to collect stragglers, and personally led them

through the danger zone, setting a splendid

example of courage and coolness.
