Tom A McCluskey Posted 21 February , 2006 Share Posted 21 February , 2006 If possible, Could someone do a SDGW for: Gunner Harry Cunliffe C Battery, 78 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery He died at Thiepval in 1917 I believe he was from Burnley/Lancashire Also, Harry does not have a MIC (on NA site), nor does his brother Richard. Would there be any reason for this? Both of them definitely served in the Artillery during the First World War. In advance, MANY THANKS Tom McC

Both of them definitely served in the Artillery during the First World War. Have you tried searching on name and also only initials. I found 3: 2/Lt (Maj) William Richard Cunliffe 33 Bde. RFA 2/Lt (Lt) R.G. Cunliffe 54th Heavy Bty. RGA 171717 Gnr John R. Cunliffe RGA If you have his regiment number (on medals if they are still around), try entering just that in the Other Keyword field, it usually works. There are some errors in the MIC indexing, might be the problem (some cards are hard to read, the quality of the scans could be better) Did he transfer to Artillery from elsewhere?
