My Great Uncle Harry Hamlet died on 10th September 1916

Through research I have found his medal card but to be honest I have no idea what it all means.

Could someone please talk me through it, my old mum of 72 was fascinated that I could find such a thing.

It was her who told me about my Great Uncle, my dad also named Harry Hamlet :D never told me anything about him.

Blimey that was quick, I've learnt more about him in the last 2 hours than in months of looking.

I have one more question if I dare

There is mention of another regiment on your information.

Would the number be his regimental number or the regiment itself ?

Many thanks in advance :)
