267681 Private HARRY HAMLET

1st Bn., The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment

who died age 36

on 10 September 1916

This is my Great Uncle Harry whom my Father was supposed to be named after. He was never mentioned by my dad but he turned up in my research for my family tree.

He is Commemorated at Middleton, near Manchesters war memorial among many who died that year.

I would love to find out more about him, where he died, what battle etc

This is the first forum I have come accross whith such a wealth of help, I will be eternally greatfull for any you can offer

Many thanks, I got his medal card, for which I've asked some help of in another section here.

Just a shame we have no photographs, unfortunately they where burned by a non member of our family on my Aunts death.

At 36 he must have been a regular or maybe not. Who will ever know

Again many thanks

:)
