Guest whitecliff Posted 17 February , 2006 Share Posted 17 February , 2006 Tracing the above who was born in Wolverhampton; believed by only elderly surviving relative to have been in RGA and died in the last months of the war in France. Only possible connexion to date is Gunner GH I of 312th Siege Bty who died nr rouen on 8/7/1918. Unable to confirm through normal sources if they are one and the same. Any information or advice as th what to do next would be appreciated.

Looked at your Wolverhampton memorial site - you have set yourself a task. Would this GH be recognised as a Wolverhampton born man or not because he enlisted elswhere Cheers Ron
Doug Lewis Posted 18 February , 2006 Share Posted 18 February , 2006 Ron He is a Wolverhampton man,as he was born here. I have looked on the memorials I have researched and cannot find his name. My research is not complete so I might still find him. Regards Doug
