Remembered Today:

51st Rifle Brigade?

On an earlier posting there is a picture of a chap in the Rifle Brigade.

My friend has just found out more about him:

"He said he was a sergeant in the 51st Rifle Brigade, in Jan 1918 he gave his address as 'South Camp Aldershot', in Aug 1918 he gave it as 'Fox Hall Camp Ipswich' and he said his middle name was Patrick. He also ended up living in Moss Side, Manchester, after the war. "

Does this mean anything to anyone? 51st Rifle Brigade??

Thanks for your thoughts

Stephen

Phil,

Thanks for this. Throughout its history did this unit always serve at home?? Do the places tie in?
