Bob Bedward Posted 16 February , 2006 Share Posted 16 February , 2006 E J Cudmore RMLI and A G Cudmore RMLI Are there MICs for RMLI If not how would I be able to find any details of these two men please? Thank you Old Jack
SteveE Posted 16 February , 2006 Share Posted 16 February , 2006 I do not believe there are MIC's for the RMLI, certainly not online. You'll need to go to NA, Kew and consult the Medal Rolls in ADM171/167 (For NCO's and Men) and ADM171/92 & 93 (for Officers). These rolls are arranged alphabetically so it shouldn't take too long to find your men. Alternatively check the Fleet Air Arm Museum website as they also hold certain Royal Marine records relating to the Great War, or contact them at: Centre for Naval Aviation Records & Research Fleet Air Arm Museum Box D6, RNAS Yeovilton Near Ilchester, Somerset BA22 8HT Tel: +44 (0) 1935 840565, selecting 2 for research. Fax: +44 (0) 1935 842630 E-mail: research@fleetairarm.com Regards Steve
Bob Bedward Posted 17 February , 2006 Author Share Posted 17 February , 2006 Hello Steve - Thank you for your advice. I am afraid I am unable to get to Kew but the Fleet Air Arm Museum is much better. I have looked at the website and will make an appointment as soon as is practical. I "have" more RMLI men than the two mentioned. So thanks for the tip Best wishes Old Jack
