I understand that Henry Winn was gassed but his remarks states Dis 3qz xy1 or (I) 8.9.16 I understand Discharged 8.9.16 but could anybody enilghten me to the others? Your help much appreciated. Stebie9173 Posted 16 February , 2006 Share Posted 16 February , 2006 I think it should say Dis 392 KR xvi {not sure with "or (I)"} 8.9.16 i.e. Discharged under section 392 Kings Regulations sub-section xvi (16) - No longer fit for duty. http://www.1914-1918.net/discharged.htm This would then have triggered the award of a Silver War Badge (SWB) which is referenced to by SWB List {reference} which can be looked up in the Medal Rolls at Kew.
