BECK, George Regiment, Corps etc.: Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) Battalion etc.: 1st Garrison Battalion. Birthplace: Loughborough, Leicestershire Enlisted: Leicester Rank: PRIVATE Number: 28974 Date died: 25 June 1918 How died: Died Theatre of war: Egypt Supplementary Notes: FORMERLY 17743, LEICESTERSHIRE REGT. I found this infomation on 1837online overseas deaths...I have sent for the death certificate hoping it may throw more light on confirming my connection.. I was wondering why he would have changed regiment?
