Easily solved. Are the collar badges East Yorks or Sherwood Foresters?

I'd go along with that. Don't know how Great War rank was displayed on Officers - same as now but on cuffs instead of lapels (or rather on the front of your smock nowadays)? If so, is that one pip I see, indicating Second Lieutenant?

I'd say it was Nott & Derby too

Here's a good example of a Notts & Derby Officer and the badges do look very similar to those in your photo
