Help with MIC

Can any pals give their thoughts on this card please?

My reading is discharged per KR para 392 xvi (medically unfit for service).

Any views on what the 'Action taken' entries mean?

Then there are no mentions of medal entitlement, indeed it seems a 'different' type of mic card. Would he have had another card as well?

Would appreciate your comments.

Ian

Ian,

I think it reads 'List D/A/1432', which would be the reference for a Silver War Badge Roll. It is quite possible that there is a second MIC with his medal entitlement. It's equally possible that he never served overseas and a SWB was his only entitlement.

Regards

Gavin

Oh dear....

I now looked for another mic for my chap - there was another Robert Muir 19807 under Royal Scots Fusiliers, so I guessed a mistake had been made over the correct title of the regiment.

Well, after downloading another mic I can see there probably has. I think my above posted card should show 19807 Robert Muir, Royal Scots Fusiliers!

19807 Royal Scots was a Ben Irving who was killed in action.

I guess that it is unlikely that there was both a 19807 Robert Muir in the Royal Scots and in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, especialy as another Royal Scot with the same number was a kia?
