allanp Posted 10 February , 2006 Share Posted 10 February , 2006 I am trying to find any information about my Great Uncle, Frederick Parry 69223 R.W.Fusiliers. I have managed to download his medal card but unfortunately the only info it held other than his medal entitlement, was his name, rank, serial number and regiment. I was hoping that it might have shown his enlistment and discharge date or his unit etc. I think that Fred may have been in his mid 20's at the start of the war, so he may have been a regular. Does anyone know the best place to find any info. I am unable at the moment to travel to London to search the files for his record. Would the Regimental Museum hold any records that may be useful? Muerrisch Posted 10 February , 2006 Share Posted 10 February , 2006 69223 is a very large number and suggests late enlistment, neither is it a regular's [pre-war] number. Nor TF nor SR either.
