Guest John Bedo Posted 10 February , 2006 Share Posted 10 February , 2006 Hi everyone, bit of a newbie to this forum so sorry if I make any mistakes (i'll try not to) I'm researching my G G Uncle for a family tree, Rifleman T Bedson, S/5556 . On the CWGC site I found out that he was killed in action on the 13th July 1916 , whilst serving with the 10th Bn Rifle Brigade. Can anyone tell me how the battalion was made up i.e. from what area of the country or was it a mix of all areas, what sort of battalion where they. Anything about what action they were in at the time. Unfortunately I'm a bit of (well actually complete) novice when it comes to the military side of life. Are there any books you would suggest that could help with describing the war at this point in time in the area he would of been in.
