The photo shown here is of:

Lance Corporal John Park 21637

Machine Gun Corps (Infantry)

Born, Ulverston.

Enlisted, Ulverston.

Died of wounds (unspecified).

Formerly served as 12644 R.Lancs. Regt.

He's shown with his mother and an unknown woman. Was there any tradition as to when these photos would be taken, and who would be on them? The unknown woman is thought not to be his sister.

Was he married or engaged? Aunt? (Yes, far younger, but there were often large families in those days and 20 years between them is not uncommon - though one would expect other aunts in that case). I do however think the two ladies features are remarkably close, so defijnitely a relative in my opinion. Of course it's not fact.
