Very nice pictures Malte and Cnock,

was Noordschoote such an important city in the war perhaps,

because i see traces of heavy bombardements on the church?

Noordschote was a village, but it had the misfortune to be situated close to the frontline.

I believe a lot of villages shared the same misfortune...:(

does Noordschote still exist, because you say 'was'...

It still exists, see pic with demarcation stone (furthest point German advance)

Untill now I took more than 4.000 pics in the Salient and Northern France (cemeteries, graves, bunkers etc.)
