Guest grantaloch Posted 8 February , 2006 Share Posted 8 February , 2006 Hello owen I received your p.m here are few details about my wifes cousin who was killed on the last day of the battle of the somme.I have his attestation papers in front of me,his name was stanley sarson,he was a member of the 87th battlalion the Canadian grenadier guards.11th brigade Canadian 4th division. I think they were making the last desperate attack on Deserri trench i think the spelling is wrong but i am sure somebody will put me right on that one I have his widows penny and his other medals in my possesion but if possible would like any other information on him from anybody. cheers Gantaloch.
