Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone would be so kind and be able to do a look up on James Allan 1/10 Batt Royal Scots.

James was born to Robert & Elspeth (Gordon) Allan in Aberdeen 15th July 1893.

This was a great uncle of mine who was injured during the war and married a girl in Dunscore, Dumfrieshire in 1916. He had been a Still Fireman in Westbarns, Belhaven, Edinburgh.

I know that he was an oil worker in Broxburn from 1921 - 1923 but I would like to fill in the missing years from around 1914 till the unit was disbanded around 1919 in Linlithgow.

He left for America in 1925 and sadly died in 1935 in Barre, Vermont (possible suicide) after the death of his wife in 1934.

Many thanks,

Swally
