Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone would be able to look up a service record of Robert Alexander, who was a great uncle of mine.

Robert was born 31/12/1892 at Distillery Buildings Bo’ness, near Falkirk.

I don't have anything on him until he was married and puts down his occupation as soldier 5th Reserve Cavalry Service Number 2222. He would join the Royal Scots, "A" Coy. 16th Battalion and be given a new Service Number 39312

He had married his girl in secret 6th November 1917 in Glasgow.

Sadly Robert died on 13/05/1918 Lagensalza P.O.W camp of his wounds that he recieved and is buried in NIEDERZWEHREN CEMETERY, Germany.

I would dearly like to put a bit of meat to the bones (so to speak)

Thanks,

Swally
