wizzywadey Posted 2 February , 2006 Share Posted 2 February , 2006 Hi All, I have been trying to find additional info on my great uncle, Gunner Cecil Jeffries. Regiment, Royal Field Artillery Unit, D battery 159th Brigade Date of death 23/03/1918 service no L/19186 I know his name is on the wall at the Tyne Cot memorial and am planning a trip to ypres in march... Unfortunately i can find no picture of him and relatives are now few and far between and i am having trouble finding out anything about his unit etc... Please have a look in your databases for me to see if you can find any other info.... Also my great grandfather James Clarke Royal Sussex Regiment 19396 private Training Reserve Battalion TR10/42360 private Royal Engineers 616033 1914-1920 I knew my great grandfather but he would not really speak about the war...he was bayonetted through the arm when he was on the lewis? gun and his no2 on the gun saved him I am interested to know why he has numerous service numbers etc and any additional info is much appreciated in advance Thanks again Ian
