I have the below photo of a reunion the details of which are on the back. JH Langton is has the arrow at his feet and I assume Capt Thompson is to his right.

I wonder if any posters know anything of the regiment noted on the back or have any comments which might be of interest? I know nothing about Capt Thompson and haven't been able to identify anything in the LG ... though that is probably more down to my poor research skills!

See also Cornwall's Royal Engineers - Lt Colonel CJF Mead. Manyof the UK based Submarine Mining Company's were part of the Volunteer Movement. When the RN took over responsibility for Submarine Mining in 1905, a number of these units were redesignated Fortress Companies.
