HMS ships logs

Hello Phil

I can't speak for WW I logs, but I would like to tell you that almost all WW II logs for destroyers and smaller have been destroyed. There are odd logs still surviving, but it seems never to be the ones you are looking for. The ones that survive can be viewed at the National Archives (the old PRO) in Richmond.

The same for crew lists.

Good luck.

Hello Phil

One further bit. The ships' payroll ledgers are at Hayes. They are not accessible as this is a secure area. This would be the ultimate source for ships' crew lists, but they are available for official use only.

All best
