Help with interpreting MIC for L/Cpl William L Jode

post-10374-1138266398.jpgPlease could someone help me interpret The MIC for my great uncle William Jode, especially the part saying "Deleted Star reurned". As this apparently happened on 15/3/24 by which time William Jode had emigrated to Canada, does it mean that they couldn't find him?

And what does "deep sub" or is it "clasp sub" mean?

It would appear that he had been issued Two Stars from different Rolls, one of which would have been deleted & the return requested, which he apparently did,I would advise obtaining the Roll pages given which may well confirm this theory

Thank you very much for that information. I shall certainly check the Roll pages next time I am in London.

Do you have any idea what the words underneath "15 Star" mean? It looks to me like "deep sub" or even "clasp sub"

Sorry I dont,I had considered: "list SWB" but discounted this as he was discharged to Class "Z" so would not have been eligible for a War Badge, hopefully the Roll pages might shed some light on it,Let me know when & if you discover its meaning please?
