Derek Robertson Posted 25 January , 2006 Share Posted 25 January , 2006 Paratyphoid is more commonly known as enteric fever (note spelling). Ulna is a bone in the lower arm, the radius being the other.
Alison Arnold Posted 25 January , 2006 Share Posted 25 January , 2006 Steve, Could the second one be Paratyphoid A? The ulnar is the bone extending from the elbow to the wrist on the side opposite to the thumb in humans. Hope this helps Ali
steve fuller Posted 25 January , 2006 Author Share Posted 25 January , 2006 Derek & Ali - great help yes. Thank you very much The second one is indeed "Paratyphoid A" - is there a difference because of the "A"?
Alison Arnold Posted 26 January , 2006 Share Posted 26 January , 2006 Hi Steve, The letter A refers to the strain of bacteria causing the infection. In this case Salmonella paratyphi A. Click here for more information. Best wishes Ali
