armourersergeant Posted 2 September , 2003 Share Posted 2 September , 2003 Ok i have heard of Francis Bacon from my history days etc at school but i have recently come across an American Robert Bacon who appears to have been a bit of an adventurer and also a banker and finacier and adviser to the president. Now i am sure that across the pond you will know of him greatly but my question to the british here is this. I think i should know him but can not place him, the name is familiar but i dont know why? Am i just being stupid and is the answer obvious or is my memory finally going. please put me out of my misery is there a glaring answer in my face that i can not see?
