Sandcroft Posted 22 January , 2006 Share Posted 22 January , 2006 I believe this photo was taken prior to the outbreak of war, possibly in South Africa. The men are of the 22nd Brigade RFA. I can identify two soldiers. One is my Grandfather, and the other I believe to be B.S.M Henry J. Dobney. Any comments would be most welcome. If anyone would like to see a clearer enlargement of any particular soldier, I would happy to post it. Many thanks. Sandcroft
PFF Posted 22 January , 2006 Share Posted 22 January , 2006 Good Photo! Have you been in touch with the RFA Regimental Museum?
Sandcroft Posted 24 January , 2006 Author Share Posted 24 January , 2006 Thanks, PFF. Yes, I have visited the Artillery archives. They have some very interesting material concerning the 22nd Brigade, but, as yet, little in the way of photographs. The cataloguing of their photographic records is ongoing, so I hope to find something in the future.
