eastkeswick Posted 20 January , 2006 Share Posted 20 January , 2006 I am trying to search the London Gazette archive for an entry relating to Edgar George Sawer. I have been told he was mentioned in despatches and was gazetted in supplement number 29354 on 5 Nov 1915. If anyone could access this entry and copy it to me, I would be grateful. By way of background, Edgar Sawer was borne in my village of East Keswick, Yorkshire, apparentlyemigrated to Australia, from where he enlisted. He died in 1918, of sickness and exhaustion shorlty after being invalided back to Australia
