chris basey Posted 31 August , 2003 Posted 31 August , 2003 A recently acquired copy of 'Old Contemptible' by Harry Beaumont (R West Kents)has provided me with another personal account by a soldier who was passed through the escape channels in which Edith Cavell was involved and made his way to England. Over the years I have tried to find accounts that were written by any of the men who are listed in Rowland Ryder's biography of Edith Cavell (published in 1975) as having been 'guests at the Clinque'. Never had any luck though, so it occurred to me that Forum members might have knowledge of such things. In fact, any snippets concerning Nurse Cavell would be of interest, so I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
