Any body able to help with what company the above named soldier was in

I beleive he was with the Sherwood foresters sometime before the war but resigned when he married, rejoined and went to france may 1915. Any other information would be useful i have details from the CWGC

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership

heretofore subsisting between us, the under-

signed, John Harwood Cash and Ernest Jardine,

carrying on business as Cotton Spinners and Doublers,

at Mansfield, 'in the county of Nottingham, under the

style or firm of HARWOOD CASH AND CO., has

been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the

31st day of March, 1915.—Dated the 18th day of

October, 1915.

Sorry, can't tell you which company, but my Great Uncle died on the same day in the same action and in the same battalion, so if you click on 'Herbert Burman' in my signature you can read an account that may help you understand the events surrounding your man's death.

"Also reported missing and believed killed is 2Lt J Harwood C Fletcher in his 30th year and married, he was in business with an uncle at Mansfield prior to the outbreak of war. Having formerly held a commission , he volunteered for service about six months ago and had only been on active service for five weeks."

A separate paragraph of the same date carries the above duplicate information but also includes "was in business with his Uncle Mr Harwood Cash of Farnsfield Hall....." which ties in with Steve's research above.
