Guest glennp Posted 10 December , 2002 Share Posted 10 December , 2002 Hello all. Can anyone help me with a diagram, photo or any other details regarding German WW1 trench armour. Im told that some sections had 'characteristic observation holes on the armour.' Does anyone have any further details on this? The reason i ask is that im research the Polish Ford Tf-c (FT- 1920 armoured car. It was made using WW1 german trench shields but i cant seem to figure out how this 'observation hole with a hatch' worked. Thank you anyone. Paul Reed Posted 10 December , 2002 Share Posted 10 December , 2002 There is an article on trench shields in the latest French Militaria magazine; they have a website, and I think you can order issues on-line. The number you want is No 209 December 2002. It's obviously in French, but is well illustrated.
