HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 14 January , 2006 Share Posted 14 January , 2006 Quite often the award of these Certificates of Gallant Conduct Etc;resulted in the follow on award of an MM or Similar award{though by no means always}It might be worth seeking the war diary for this Battery in case he is mentioned,or searching through the Local {to Him} papers of the Period as MM awards often were accompanied by Press releases giving some detail of the award.
