Emphasis is on co-ordinated study, information exchange and discussion of the Great War from the perspective of the CEF. The main element of the CEF Study Group is the discussion forum. These Great War websites are considered of a higher quality and/or represent unique sources of information on the Internet. The information is sorted by twenty-five separate categories. Jan 2006 The Bedfordshire Regiment was active on the Western Front, Gallipoli, Egypt and Palestine. The Regiment’s 3 “Regular” Infantry Battalions and its single Territorial Battalion were supplemented by 3 “New Army” Battalions when War broke out in 1914. The website contains biographies of officer casualties, war diaries, medal winners, research queries and a tribute to Private Herbert Charles Kendall: great-grandfather of the webmaster.
